The Women of Promise (WOP) was received of the Lord in October 1994 by Evan. Jacqueline Williams as an outreach of God’s Giving Grace Christian Bookstore in Tampa, Florida. At the first meeting, there were a total of five women of God, who joined in prayer and faith. WOP is an organization of Christian women, who are dedicated to the purpose of God. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We had once a month fellowships, a spring banquet in 1996, a women’s retreat in October 1996, a women’s conference in October 1997, children’s ministry that fellowship once a month during the women’s fellowship, telephone bible study, and home fellowships with other women’s group. Evan. Williams was previously ordained as an elder in the Nondenominational faith and an evangelist/minister in the Evangelical Baptist denomination. The visionary moved to the north Florida region and kept the ministry in her heart until such a time as this, January 2007. The rebirth of WOP continues with its original purpose of reconciling women back to God in Christ Jesus. In September 2007, we hosted a women's conference at Tallahassee Civic featuring Helen Baylor. In 2008, we hosted a worship retreated in Tallahassee, Florida. In 2009, we sponsored People of Promise Revival and evangelized in 5 communities. In 2010, we hosted a Prayer Breakfast and the power of God was present as evident by the testimonies of healings, salvation, rededication, answered prayers of employment/financial freedom and more.
Evan. Williams is married to Bro. Al R. Williams, Jr and together, they have 4 children, 2 daughter in laws, 2 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter. She is a member of Divine Faith International Ministries, Inc. in Jonesboro, Georgia, under the leadership of Bishop Donald Battle.
